^October? 1900, ...& as soon as I finish this we three are going rowing on the Lake & then to the apple orchard which is reserved for the girls to pick apples; yesterday the girls were all out with waste baskets gathering them. If you pay a quarter & join the Floral club you can pick all the flowers you like from the flower bed. I never saw anything like the privileges they have. All the boats are free, they have a special kitchen for the girls to make candy in, stationery store with everything at wholesale & pay a good salary to two doctors whom you may consult for 25ยข per visit. At four o'clock this afternoon the Seniors meet us to have us sign the Self Government Constitution. I must close as this is the last day without work & the campus is too lovely & also the day to stay inside. Love to you all & all write soon Monday 2 o'clock. Ruth - [Ruth H. Crippen, '04]
