Dearest Mother-mine-
        I’m hoping you’re at home again with the little girl much improved. I’m not going to tell you all the college news for I expect to see you so soon. I’m coming down


Wednesday on the four o’clock special from Poughkeepsie . - will get out to Flatbush about seven or half past probably - don’t wait supper - just save a bit for me. I guarantee not to be very hungry.
I’ve just finished a terrific German theme - it’s late and I’m weary so

Your letter came on this morning's mail. I’m not planning anything for the week-end - company or anything except for Friday night when Alice is coming out and we all want to go to the theater that night - that is when we were counting on you to chaperone you know. I’m feeling fine - the air up here is wonderful - so crisp and bracing. Florence is going to spend the vacation with Connie Hairland - so she’s all fixed. I’m certainly sorry to hear about Babe - Poor Chicken! She’s certainly had a hard time, but perhaps she’ll be a better woman for it, mentally and physically. See you soon, dear.
