Deariest Maurie
I got your letter yesterday morning and was glad you were doing so many pleasant things. Was Olis Skinner good? I have been having the time of my life, but feel awfully tired just now and am trying to write this lying down -- wherefore the scrawl. Mr Peiffer, Raymond’s friend went home or back to Princeton I mean Friday afternoon and I was awfully sorry to have him go for he was just as sweet as the music he made on the mandolin. But such is life. I shall probably never see him again!!! Ha Ha! How tragic we are.

Friday night Raymond and Helen went out to dinner and Grace had two of her friends a Mr Keeny and Mr Lie in and we had loads and loads of fun. She does have the nicest friends and they all seem to like her so much and to be such good friends. When she is at college she gets more nice, jolly, boyish letters from them than you could shake a stick at. They are all college men.
Oh I forgot to tell you about Friday morning. Grace and I went to Newark, half an hours ride on the trolley cars, and shopped. It is a great place. I never was in such stores in my life. One store occupied a whole block, and was as


big as if you combined LS Ayers, Charley Mayers, Wasson’s + the New York Store in one! There were the most beautiful ready made gowns there I ever saw.
On Saturday we had lunch at 11.30 and then went to New York and to the wonderful Flora Dora. New York seemed like an old friend. I tell you but we did it thoroughly. I knew where I was all the time, I can’t possibly say how much I enjoyed Flora Dora. The music, the costumes, and the jokes were simply great. Ethel had never been in a theater before so you may imagine


how much she enjoyed it.
Well, I am too tired to say any more honey. My but I hate to go back to night and go to work, but then it won’t be for long.
