Vassar Dearest daddykins Here is a picture of part of Vassar lake, with girls skating on it. Doesn’t it look pretty. We certainly do have fun skating! Thursday Feb. 27, 1902 The check came all right this afternoon honey, but as you forgot to enclose the college bill and the doctor’s bill, I can’t pay them, so please to send them just as soon as you get this letter. I’m ever and ever so much obliged for the money. There hasn’t a thing happened lately to tell my little dad about. We are having very warm weather, and there are rivers and ponds and lakes of water everywhere from the melting snow. The snow storm last week surpassed anything I ever dreamed of! Polly took some pictures of it, and I’ll send them to you if they turn out well. My dear, you should see my account book! ‘Tis a beautiful thing I tell you, neat and well-balanced! I feel perfectly well again, and have no cold. In fact I never did have one. I got wet and had a little fever but I didn’t catch cold. I don't believe they have the horrid things here as much as at home. At anyrate I haven’t. I would like to write more, but I have four lessons to get for tomorrow so bye bye, with snowdrifts of love Peggy. I won’t have time to write again till Saturday. My dress was too pretty for anything, and got here all right. Give my love to Mr Keifer + Dora. Picture - money matters POUGHKEEPSIE FEB 28 930A 1902 N.Y. Mr. Joseph P. Shipp 1010 N.
