Friday afternoon
Dearest Marnie, 


        Well, I’ve had my last exam, thank goodness. I don’t know about all of them yet, but I did actually get through algebra - what do you think of that! Maybe I’m not relieved. I have been trying to get hold of Miss Smith to ask her how I came out in it for three days and never could find her at home. Finally Miss Mann, the peach, saw her and found out for me- she was anxious for me to get through as I was myself I believe. 
        I enclose my [illegible] checks and the [illegible] will go off Tuesday probably. I got the money from dad all right yesterday. I feel sort of like a rag having slept only about four hours last night, so I won’t try to write anymore till I get rested.
