Saturday PM Vassar College Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Dearest May Louise, Field Day is over at last. I didn’t do wonders at all for I didn’t want to be strenuous, but I did fairly well in a 50 yd dash and the standing broad jump. The enjoyable part of it was the fuss the girls made over me. Four different ones each Gave me an alcohol rub-down at one time and another yesterday and to day, and the adoring [Flissiums] brought me out a bag full of lemons and oranges to moisten my parched lips and stay my faltering foot-steps! Betty’s mother came up yesterday noon and we gave a tea for her in Senior Parlor. She is just as nice as can be. Marta Milouowski played at our function and it went off quite well. My dear, you make me a little weary sometimes - as if I didn’t have enough sense to get shirts and answer notes! I got a room for Mrs Snow at my laundresses - she has just two rooms. Now if you would just decide to come I can get the other room for you if you let me know by next Saturday. Your letter didn’t reach me till yesterday afternoon, too late for a note from me to have reached the [unclear]. Prafs I can write one for them to get just after they land. I’m sort of weary now so I’ll not write anymore till tomorrow. Slews of love Peg. College letter POUGHKEEPSIE JUN 1 2PM 1905 N.Y.
