Biographical Note
Barbara Beisinghoff is a German artist known for her etchings, artists' books, and use of watermarks.
TopScope and Content Note
Six handmade papers with watermarks. All the watermarked words are taken from the novel Kassandra. of Christa Wolf. Christa Wolf authorizised Barbara Beisinghoff to use her sentences for her art work. Wolf and Beisinghoff carried on correspondence, and met each other in Berlin Pankow, Amalienpark 7, where Gerhard Wolf, Christa Wolf’s husband lived.
