Abstract
2020 marked the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. That victory had been the goal of suffrage activists since the middle of the 19th century and was the result of countless efforts on both the state and national levels. To celebrate this anniversary, Vassar College Libraries made available a virtual exhibition and an accompanying essay by Miriam Cohen, Professor of History on the Evalyn Clark Chair.
