Abstract
This is a senior capstone project that explores the landscape and functionality of current sex education practices within the US. Through an extensive literature review and original empirical research, this thesis aims to illustrate how comprehensive sex education in early elementary school settings can address the shortcomings of current practices and serve as an early intervention for adolescent sexual risk behaviors.
