I entirely approve of giving 100 dollars of the money, as there is a prospect of permanent assistance.
I am much obliged for the efforts regarding my boy. However I would certainly not give him a recommendation to Governor Lehman, because I would consider that reprehensible protectionism. But the boy certainly should visit the pertinent specialty departments in New York State. He does have recommendations from good experts in the field and those recommendations are based on real assessment. Professor Moody at Princeton in particular exerted himself especially in this direction.

Ich bin ganz damit einverstanden, 100 Dollars von dem Geld zu geben, da Aussicht auf bleibende Hilfe vorliegt.
Herzlichen Dank für die Bemühungen wegen meines Jungen. Eine Empfehlung an Governor Lehman würde ich ihm keinesfalls geben, da ich dies für verwerflichen Protektionismus halten würde. Wohl aber sollte der Junge die einschlägigen Fachstellen im Staate New York besuchen. Er hat ja Empfehlungen von guten Fachleuten und diese Empfehlungen beruhen auf wirklicher Beurteilung. Besonders hat sich auch Professor Moody von Princeton ausserordentlich in dieser Richtung bemüht.
