American Jewish Congress,
1834 Broadway,
New York City.
Dear Sirs:
I learned from the newspapers a little time ago that Dr. Fritz Simon, a blind refugee, was admitted to the American Jewish Congress House. It was mentioned at the same time that you were anxious to receive contributions to help settle Dr. Simon in a more permanent way. Professor Albert Einstein who had a small fund for emergency cases at his disposal, asked me to send you the enclosed check, representing the balance of the fund. I wish you would send me a receipt at your convenience.
Sincerely yours,
Otto Nathan.
