Description
Second and final part of the 1991 baccalaureate service. Includes the end of Jesse Jackson's address; a second performance by the West Point Gospel Choir; and an address by Ria Grosvenor (VC 1991), Chair of the Black Commencement Committee, accompanied by committee members Yolanda Hill (VC 1991) and Kerri Thompson (VC 1991). Grosvenor's remarks focused on the race-based conflicts on campus during her time at Vassar. The service closes with a hymn, followed by a group singing of We Shall Overcome, and the benediction by Rev. Richard Thompson.

It collects, preserves, and makes available rare and unique collections, and also engages in teaching and outreach activities. This collection of finding aids describe items in both the Virginia B. Smith Memorial Manuscript Collection and the College Archives.
