Abstract
Detailed daily entries written in October of 1922 for a class assignment during Wislocki's freshman year at Vassar College. The diary is prefaced by a typewritten key to the students and faculty mentioned. Wislocki discusses her academic, social, and extracurricular experiences between October 17th and 29th. She mentions her English, French, Chemistry, and History classes and emphasizes her struggles with Trigonometry. Wislocki reports playing in several hockey and basketball games, including a hockey game in which she accidentally injured another student. Wislocki also mentions participating in student theater and working in the Retreat. Additionally, she describes the traditional freshman trip to Lake Mohonk, several special birthday and hockey game dinners served at the Lodge, and winning secretary in the class officer elections. Wislocki relates a student's concerns over anti-Semitism at Vassar and claims to have witnessed none herself. Toward the end of the diary, Wislocki details her ambivalence over attending chapel, her father's visit to Vassar, and a quarrel between classmates.
