Dearest Ducky Daddles.
What was my surprise and delight to find two letters at breakfast this morning--one from you and one from sis. And to show my great joy I am using my very bestest not[e] paper which you see has a Vassar seal at the top.

I still feel like a sort of idiot in the classes but I don’t mind it, and then I did get some consolation in the English class yesterday for the teacher read one of my compositions to the class.
My cold is almost gone now as I did just exactly what the doctor told me to do. I have been out of doors all the time and gone to bed early and as it is now half past nine I must say good night to the dearest little daddy in the world
