My dear Miss Mineah—
I was so glad to hear from you and to know that you really would like to hear of our work and pleasure here at college. We are kept very busy, as I expected, but the work is all very pleasant and interesting. Of all my work I think the English most interesting and also hardest.

she did not wish to send some messages to her G.C.I, friends but she was out, as usual. I never am able to find either Eleanor or Frances in, it seems. Two weeks ago Joe Jefferson came out to the college and lectured to us. He came in the middle of the afternoon so we suspended our college work and all went into chapel to hear him. I never enjoyed

We write three themes a week besides our work for the class room which is the analysing or criticising of essays.

Our German teacher is a very good instructor and also a pleasant woman outside of class.

I am not in any of Frances's classes so we do not see much of each other. This morning I went down to see her and ask her if

anything more, he spoke in such a friendly, happy way. As he was leaving we all rose and said, "Here's to you and your good family, may you live long & prosper." He seemed very much pleased. The evening of this same day we all went in town to see him in Rip—and it was so nice to see him acting just after Nov. hearing him talk about the stage, in the afternoon.
