Saturday morning.
Dearest Mamie,
Betty and I chose our senior room this morning and we are too pleased with it for anything. None of the rooms in Main of course are quite as desirable architecturally as those in the halls, and we drew a rather late choice so that all the good suites for three or for four girls were gone and there were left only doubles and singles. We didn’t know whether to have a double, or singles near

together, but we found such an adorable double first thing in such a desirable situation as to view, and neighbors, that we took it. It is on “fourth center” with a west exposure, right over the front door of Main. It is near the elevator, the stairs, and a bathroom. Across the alleyway are two singles, one reserved for an instructor.

than many of the single rooms. Washstands, bureaus etc will go in the bedroom, and we can either have two single beds in there, or one of us can sleep on the couch in the sitting room. The wall-paper is green, praise be! so I can still hang my pictures with green ribbon. The bed room is an inside room, but both rooms are so tiny that ventilation will be very easy with the windows in the sitting room. Near us are some of the nicest girls in the class -- those who are sure to be senior officers etc. We hope that Katherine French will get the single in the alleyway with us when it comes her turn to draw. I have already begun to plan where the furniture should be put and the pictures hung.
