Wednesday evening
Jan 22.
Dearest Daddykins,
I haven’t time to write a very long letter to you to night cause I have to study, but I thought I’d tell you that I had gotten your registered letter, -- that is, I got a notice that it was in the post office, and I’ll get it tomorrow morning. I believe you said you would send seventy two dollars for board which is

all right and I’m much obleeged. I may need five dollars more though, for my bloomers suddenly wore out and I had to get some more made, and then I’ll have to get four or five new books for the next semester’s work. Then I won’t need any more till March.
I thought the genealogy business was very interesting. You must have enjoyed reading the book very much.

Next week I have an exam every single day and I am simply scared stiff. I shouldn’t be a bit surprised if I flunked one or two. They say that a third of the sophomores are taking freshman math this year because they flunked it last year, and the exams are so [blamed] hard!
Well I have to go to work so farewell
With slews of love
Your little everlasting
Peg,
