Abstract
4 letters, dated between Oct 3 1905 and Nov 3 1908, from Ryerson (VC 1909) to her mother and father. Ryerson discusses her experiences at Vassar College. She describes her coursework, her instructors, Mrs. Kendrick [the Lady Principal], and the lectures that she attends. She asks her parents to send various items that she had left home, including her father's old Latin dictionary, and gives the measurements for a cover for her fountain pen. Ryland describes her developing friendships with her classmates and exchanges family and social news. Vassar traditions and events mentioned by Ryland include singing before chapel with sister classes, dancing, the senior boat ride, the junior party, the visit to Lake Mohonk, and senior parlor.,VC 1909
