The monthly meeting of the Bible a.ndTract
Society in the Y. M. C. A. rooms Tuesday, Jan.
14th, at three o'clock.
The pledges last Sunday to Dr. Raynold’s
salary were so generous as to assure his support
for another year.
Our annual offerings to the American Mission-J
ary Association will be given next Sunday. '1" hi s
association interesting in its history, and held in
high regard among the Christian people of the
country, is doing a great work among the Negr< es,
Mountain Whites, Indians and Chinese of this
country It is also Working in Porto Rico.
Mrs. John F. Hume entered into life on VVednes-
day, January 8th. This church of which she had
been a devoted member for more than thirty years
has lost much, for her Christian grace and
strength were very marked. Such as she do much
to build the Kingdom here, for “of such is the
Kingdom.” May the Father of Lights fill the
silent, shadowed home with Himself.-
I. bring the changing flowers that her grave be dressed
As fits the charnber last by her possessed.
Fixiite can follow infinite but to this stile;
G-ood—night then. LoVe——a blessed afterwhilel
