My Dear Friend:— Your conference for next March, looks very promising from the programme. It is very much to the credit of the Chicago woman's club that they always look into the philosophy of things and search for the cause. I am sure this conference with all its studies into the various departments of the economic position of woman, will be productive of much good. I can't do any work upon any committee, but I see no objection to having my name stand on the advisory committee and to be consulted on whatever topics it was thought I might be able to give an opinion, but I know that the present time is but the transition that woman must inevitably go through to get from a lower to a higher position. It doesn't matter how good and perfect a house may be that we move into, the going from the old one to the new one, picking up and tearing up, is always disagreeable. Our National convention at Washington, D. C., comes this year between the dates of the 9th. and the 18th of February. Should any of your members be there, we should like very much to receive them as fraternal delegates. Mrs. Charles Henrotin has before now, given herself to our association for that purpose.
