Hello, dear -
Both The bundles came and were received with open arms. I didn’t use the hula skirt after all as the girls didn’t think it seemed quite appropriate - I wore my red petticoat, a big white apron, the little green bodice, my Dutch shoes - made a little white cap and if I so say it as shouldn’t it was a dear costume. Motherkins, if I tell you something will you promise not to think it
conceited but realize that I’m telling you because it pleased me so much? A freshman told me today that at her table they discused the party of last night and the people and all and that their whole table said I was one of the prettiest looking ones there! Of course, I was very much made-up, with dark eyebrows and much color - you never would have recognized me in the world, but it tickled me to think I was such a good artist on myself.
I had breakfast in my room this morning - half-a-dozen girls came in and helped eat the doughnuts and apples etc. They were great! The bloomers fit finely; I can’t quite see just yet why the box-pleat goes

They are grand and full O.K. in every way. Thanks a lot for the other things, too.
It has poured steadily for nearly a week now and we’re getting tired to pieces of it. Next week-end there isn’t anything doing except the Senior excursion to Mohonk and lots of

Florence Durbauis do the same way - I chimed I think the arrangement would be just reversed shouldn’t you?
the girls are going home. What would you say if I appeared with Glad. Lyall? Would you be willing to have us? or would it inconvenience you. I want to bring her home some-time and this coming week-end will be the easiest time to get away. I have a debate coming and many other things later. I’m

going to bring my marquisette dresses home as I don’t like to trust them to the laundress here - what do you think about it?
I sang in the choir again this morning - I guess I’ll get in every other Sunday from the looks of things.
Have much to tell you but it can all wait - mostly frivolity - have some new songs and piano-pieces, too. Did I tell you I had a letter from Dad?
Love from
Muriel.
I’m that pleased with my new hair that I can’t see straight. You ought to see how my coiffure has “blossomed over night” It’s a “thing of beauty and a joy forever now. I just love it. You're the most thoughtful creature - how do you remember all your daughters’ little foibles?
