Dearest Mother -
As per usual, no news. The two ribbons, I am enclosing, are remnants, as you can see, of Track Meet Saturday morning. One of them I won for getting second place in running high jump, and the other for second place in [jeuce] vault. The Seniors won the Meet with 51 pts. - 1914 came next with 40. We didn’t expect to win it, we were rather pleased to do as well as we did.
In the afternoon, “Fantasio” by Alfred de Musset, was given in French here. Agnes Rogers, a 1916-er, took the leading part and was quite good.
I spent the night with Dorothy Parker last night - her room-mate has gone to N.Y. for the week-end. I do wish you knew her - She’s the funniest nicest girl that ever was - I really think you’d like her. She wants me to go to N.Y. with her next week and hear “Parsifal”, but I don’t see it that way considering the state of my finances. I’ve had to buy books galore, slippers, dressmakings, etc. too much lately, so I’m going over to chapel and hear it on the organ tonight. Professor Gow is going to play it right now. - Chapter II. I’ve just come back - the music was very nice - chapel was interminable!
I had a most unexpected letter from Paul the other day - guess he had a pretty good time at the Cornell Prom to judge from what he says - their Prom takes almost a week and they’re out until 4 or 5 every morning, so ours is a tame afternoon tea beside it, but we certainly did enjoy it.
I’ve finished the nightgown case I was making for Glad - and it’s mighty pretty. I’ve now been doing a nighty for myself - not an awfully fine pattern, so I have hopes of finishing it some time during the year. The Irish collar does not proceed by express, but it’s still moving - and that’s something to say for it.
I really am devoid of news - except that next time I have my white suit-skirt cleaned I’m going to let it down about four inches or so.
If I think of anything more during the course of the evening, I’ll add it - but for the present, at any rate - bye-bye.
