Dear Nathan,
Here is a letter to Judge Lehman, who can most likely accomplish something in the Genevan matter. Telephone his office on 44th St. in order to find out his current address. If he can, he will certainly help.
Now we have to tremble for the accursed English as well. Russia is probably trembling, too, but that is actually not enough in these quarters. The recipe “one after another” still seems to work. Our turn will probably come last.
We live here almost as in normal times, since the likes of us can’t do anything anyway. You have probably seen Margot. Hopefully her medical ceremonies will soon be behind her.—Come as soon and for as long as possible, it pays off.

Hier ist ein Brief an Judge Lehman, der am ehesten in der Genfer Sache etwas erreichen kann. Telephonieren sie an sein Büro in der 44. Str. um seine gegenwärtige Adresse zu erfahren. Wenn er kann, wird er schon helfen.
Jetzt müssen wir auch um die verfluchten Engländer zittern. Russland zittert wohl auch, aber das ist eigentlich nicht genug von dieser Seite. Das Rezept “Einer nach dem Andern” scheint immer noch zu funktionieren. Wir werden wohl zuletzt drankommen.
Wir leben hier beinahe wie in einer normalen Zeit, da unsereiner doch nichts machen kann. Margot haben Sie wohl gesehen. Hoffentlich hat sie ihre medizinischen Zeremonien bald hinter sich.—Kommen Sie so bald und so lang als möglich, es lohnt sich.
