Mother, dear -
Yes ma’am, I have said medicine and am taking it. I can’t say that I care at all for the soap - it’s dark blue and blues everything all up - but here’s hoping it does some good.
Last night, Professor Gow had his Interpretation class meet at his house after chapel instead of in Music Hall at the regular time. We had

regular class-work at first - criticism and all, and then Mrs. Gow cooked creamed crab ([numnumnum]!) in the chafing dish, and we had that on saltines, olives, pimento sandwiches and chocolate with whipped cream on. Best stuff ever! We told Gow - boy we’d just as soon recite at his house every week, but I doubt if he takes our suggestion.
Yesterday ‘14 played ‘15 in hockey - most exciting game I ever watched. Final score was 3:3 - My! But we were scared for fear we’d be beaten ignominiously for awhile.
About that theater -party on the Friday following Thanksgiving. We’ve had the Lyceum reserve two boxes for us - there are ten or so of us going, so the tickets will be about $2.50 a piece (Woof!.) I think I ought

to pay for Alice’s as she is coming out as my guest to the house that night, you know. The rest of the girls are going Dutch treat i.e. as far as I’m concerned. Dixie will take Dot as her guest, of course, and Edna will take Norena. If you decide to have me bring Florence home, please let me know as soon

as you can, for everyone has her place nearly complete by now and I don’t want Florence to feel second fiddley at all.
The Kentucky hat came and it is darling. I wore it to Strong one night, and there met a Mrs. Leile, first on her

way to Chicago from Paris. The girls were teasing me about my crew hat and Mrs. Leile said that it was the very kind that was all the rage in Paris now! I guess Daddy makes a pretty good hat-picker-out. It is of brown plush-velvet, soft, and a narrow pliable brim. There is a bunch of pinkish berries on it and an uncurled ostrich feather that dangles off the other edge like wide fringe. Glad say it doesn't “dangle” it stands out straight in the breeze when I have it on - but anyway it’s supposed to dangle. It goes with my brown velvet dress beautifully.
Just think, a week from tomorrow and I’ll be coming home again - my! But I’m

pleased.
I loved your letter - know it almost by heart and have gone to bed early (meaning 10:30 or before) ever since in consequence. What do you hear about Gladys Wayland - and do you think I’d better write her? How s Babe and the rest of the fambly [sic]?
    Much love to all -
    Muriel

P.S. Please measure how long Evelyn is from the nape of her neck to the floor. I’m making her a darling red Kimona for Christmas. In fact, I’d like all her measurements.
