Dear Nathan,
Through Mr. Vladeck I received the sum of 2,545.– dollars as the financial result of a proverbs contest in the Jewish Daily Forward in order to provide for German emigrants. As I do not want to bear the responsibility for the appropriation alone, I am proposing to you, at Mr. Vladeck’s suggestion, that we both dispose of the money after reaching an agreement. If it is all right with you, we could set up a special account at your bank. I hope to be able to send you the money as soon as I have an affirmative answer from you.
