Saturday [May 16, 37] Dear Nathan, It’s good that you scheduled Monday for 3 o’clock. I’m coming on Monday about ½ past 9 o’clock to Bucky’s. If I don’t hear from you, I’ll call you. I’ll be very happy, once the business of the will is settled, that the devil can safely take me when it seems right to him. Postscript to the will clauses: 1) Margot should take care of Miss Dukas 2) My son Albert receives whatever he wants from my library. The library in Jerusalem receives the rest; whatever it doesn’t want should be used somehow for the public benefit. Albert should also get my violin and the piano, if he has room for the latter. ––––––– I sent out the letter immediately after receipt; the procedure did seem strange to me, because I don’t state my view in the letter. Cordial greetings, yours, A. E. [ALS]
