Nassau Point, Peconic, L. I. N. Y. 22 June 1939 Dear Nathan, I am much obliged for the punctual remittance of the 5,000 fr. I shall send it to our account again as soon as I know the exact amount in dollars. When you speak to those people, please also ask whether Guggenheim received his honorarium. Also please do take care that the management of the building goes to Mileva Einstein at the right time so that I don’t have to keep on paying Mr. Guggenheim as well. I think that the Hutten St. Corp. should inform Mrs. Mileva that she has reached an agreement with me in the following sense: Mrs. Mileva pays her budget out of the income from the building and Prof. E. pays Hutten St. Corp. the amount each time. I don’t think there can be any legal objection to that. Don’t you think it would be reasonable to send the missing 10,000 fr. right now? That way the sale would become final, resp., Mrs. Mileva would be released from liability. Cordial regards, Yours, A. Einstein. P. S. Come soon! [TLS]
