Thank you for your kind letter of June 28th. After my experiences with the untrustworthiness and untruthfulness of certain members of the Board of Trustees I do not feel justified to induce a younger colleague—even indirectly—to accept a position at Brandeis University. I feel therefore unable to propose somebody; I am, however, always ready to give you information about any prospective candidate as in the case of Dr. Rosen.
