Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that the roll of Blankets &c which were forwarded to the Station for the benefit of the Indian School, has safely come to hand. As you did not particularly mention the mode in which they were forwarded I did not know where or of whom to inquire respecting them. They lay in Mr. Rathbun's baggage-room some weeks I believe before I heard from them. You will please accept this apology, for my not acknowledging their reception earlier.
