Friday, 8 April [1938] Dear Nathan, Last night I labored over another draft for our Goyim. For now it is rather a matter of showing what is important. The main difficulty lies in the fact that one has to meet a shabby minimum demand without implying that one has reconciled oneself to the other nasty tricks. Change everything you think for the best, just retain the brevity I am curious what S. Wise will say. He does have a lot of experience under his belt. But he shouldn’t mess the business up! We do want to be careful not to let our Mr. B. wait long. Most cordially yours, A. E. [ALS]
