Sir,
Herewith you will receive a letter from Jasper Parrish addressed to this Department under date of the 21st Jany ult. relative to a horse killed by some white people and belonging to Indian Thomas. I wish you to examine the case and make some reasonable compensation to the Indian for his loss.
