Alumnae and Alumni of Vassar College (Organization)

This collection includes 3,538 glass plate negatives created by photographer Edmund L. Wolven. Most of the images are of Vassar College people, events, buildings and grounds, but there is a subset that relates to Poughkeepsie and other local educational institutions.

Correspondence, subject files, news clippings and manuscripts documenting Frances P. Taft’s tenure with the Alumnae and Aulmni Association of Vassar College (AAVC),as well as documentation of her coursework (Class of 1942) at Vassar College.

Bills and accounts from Hadley's days at Vassar and from subsequent reunions; and correspondence, speeches, and notes concerning her service at Vassar, approximately 1903-1927, including letters from Presidents Taylor and MacCracken; her Alumnae Association activities, 1913-1919; the Vassar budget, 1918-1928; and the controversy over dividing the Vassar History Department, 1906-1907.
