Correspondence, clippings, notes,
speeches, interviews, photographs, manuscript and published versions of her
writings, other publications, bibliographies, and copies of historic documents
pertaining to materials on women's history. There are also family letters and
photographs, biographical materials, and miscellaneous items relating to Vassar
College.

speeches, poems, and other items, primarily resulting from an official connection
with Vassar College, written by Vassar students, faculty or staff, or by persons of historical
and cultural significance.

Diary of Christine Ladd-Franklin,
Vassar College Class of 1869. Describes her experiences as a Vassar student, the
challenges of financing her education, and her early years of teaching before
beginning her graduate work in mathematics.

The collection contains material related to Elizabeth Cady Stanton's work for women's suffrage, abolition, temperance, and other social causes. Includes family and professional correspondence, biographical and autobigraphical material, transcripts of her speeches, and photographs. Also includes material by others, such as her daughter, Margaret Stanton Lawrence, about the women's movement and Stanton's life and career.

Materials relating to the family's personal, professional, and political activities. The bulk of the collection relates most directly to Elsie M. Hill.

The Lucy Maynard Salmon Collection
includes the personal papers of Lucy Maynard Salmon along with two smaller collections
of papers belonging to her mother, Maria Clara Maynard Salmon, and her brother, Pomeroy L. Salmon. The materials relate
to her work as an historian and professor at Vassar College as well as her work with
the suffrage movement and local political issues. There are also materials relating
to her family, education and personal life. Formats include correspondence,
manuscripts, printed material, clippings, minutes, reports, notes, and
photographs.

Addresses and talks, including three radio scripts, 1940-1967; diary from a trip around the world in 1968 and the manuscript of her book based on her diary LIFE-BOAT NUMBER TWO; copies of her fiction and articles published in periodicals; and biographical information, including an inventory of her papers in the Mugar Library at Boston University

Materials relating to the events planned by the National Women's Conference in honor of International Women's Year, 1975.

Records of the Vassar College Office of the President, correspondence, memoranda, clippings, articles, speeches, and press releases during her tenure at Vassar, 1946-1964, concerning women's education, academic freedom, 1950's politics, her stand against Congressional investigation of Communist influence in education, her introduction to Adlai Stevenson on a radio program, and her 1962 statement on pre-marital sex and Vassar students.

typewritten copies), 17 manuscripts, 2 travel diaries (attributed to Davis' niece)
and miscellaneous papers.
