Acquisition Information

According to a collection inventory (completed presumably by Nat Alcock in 1979), the material was "apparently bought in London in 1938, and presented to the College thereafter, by a faculty member." However, according to a 1967 list of manuscript collections at Vassar, compiled by librarian Frances Goudy, the collection was a gift of Dorothy Meigs Eidlitz, Vassar Class of 1914.
