Dear Mother,

I thought you would rather get a pencilled letter than see ink on my clothes when we get home.

I banged the type-writer all morning and went to the horse show with both Mrs. Harkers this afternoon. The program is downstairs,

so I'll send it tomorrow. They surely were lively, good looking horses. There was one little fat kid on a wagon horse that looked like your friend Charlie, and every time he came around the people would start to laugh. [Estes] Park horses would be out of place here.

Otherwise nothing new. Ah yes! I am making the collar
