I got interrupted in my letter writing so much yesterday that I got all twisted up.
First, let me whistle in your ear that I am in the 3d Hall Play! It all happened Saturday. I had tried for three parts and been stung, so I had given up hope. Saturday noon Charlotte Gailor -- Chairman -- came over and asked to try for one of the minor men’s parts -- a curate. It is freezing cold here, and they are going to have the Carnival tonight -- I’m glad they could finally get it in, for there hasn’t been any decent skating up to this time.
Thursday Caroline and I helped serve at Miss Wylie’s at home -- Miss Buck wasn’t there -- and we stayed to dinner afterwards. It was so nice -- and it was such fun to run in and out of the kitchen!! We lay on the rug and watched the fire while Miss Wylie fixed the furnace and we had such a good time we could barely drag ourselves away.
