Dearest Family-

Such a [unreadable] of a time, but so busy I tried my best to send you a [telegram] on Thursday and to write you later and it couldn’t be did! I thought of you all heaps, and appreciated H’s postal. To begin at the beginning.
We went down Wed. afternoon on the special and got up to the house in time to change our clothes for dinner. Harry had arrived, and Philip and his friend Perrin Galpin (!!) arrived during the course of the meal. Dr. and Mrs. S and Dotty and Bobbie and I composed the rest of the party. [Unreadable] was very “Howard” (Law School)
