Dear Miss Thomas, your letter of the 1st current is at hand, and in reply would remark that our College buildings are in course of construction but from the great magnitude and terms of the Builders Contract will not be completed ready for opening before the Fall of 1864
Your letter will be placed on file to be referred to again when the College is ready for opening. It is contemplated that the funds set apart for general purpose will enable the Institution to provide to some extent for beneficiary in such an event your case would admits of participation in its benefits.
