Dear Family,

Typed transcription page 1…..
I think I wrote you on Wednesday when it was pouring cats and dogs, and I was mourning over the loss of my walk with Miss McCabe. I went over to see what she wanted to do about it and lo’ and behold she said as long as it was too rainy to walk we’d go down and get a chicken and waffle supper! Wasn’t it perfect of her? We had the nicest time, - just ‘in time’ - and I should hate to say how many waffles I consumed - Miss McCabe wasn’t far behind! We got back early for chapel, and watched [Grace Dunn] playing the chimes. It is perfectly fascinating. Thursday afternoon I had a [lively] [time] taking a nap on our new and comfortable [couch].
Friday evening I went to dinner with Mildred [Bried] over on [North] She is a cousin of Marine [Grosman’s] and is going to be with the [Grosman’s] over Spring Vacation, so we will probably go and [unreadable] together, and if Mary C. [unreadable] with me, we will all have a fine time. Saturday morning [L] and I had a fine time cooking breakfast and gabbing and reading “A Good Samaritan” out loud. Have you read it? It really is quite funny, even though it is about an intoxicated man! Last night [L] and I went in all our glory to the Inn with Mrs. Brady and Margaret, and had a grand time. There was an [exhibition] of the most adorable dresses and hats you’ve ever seen; we were all trying to walk off with all of them.
Today was [unreadable] Sunday, and I went to the Congregational Church with Frances [McCord]] and Betty [Holden] and Dorothy Sutphin. The music for tonight promises to be fine, for besides the organ music, Beulah Baker is going to sing and [Grace] Dunn is going to play the violin.
Tomorrow night Val Atherton is going to take me to see Mme. Nazimova in “A Doll’s House.” Naturally I am very much excited.
Tell Jean that [Betty] Holden and Helen Mae Williams, and maybe Jo [Sutphin] are coming up to the debate on the 21st and she’d better come along.
Bye bye, now.
Lots of love
from
Marjorie
