Dear Folks:-

We are “in the service,” and work has begun, and we have become initiated into the joys of such things as Sophomore Lit [Literature] and Chemistry. Jimmy’s History promises to be exciting, as there are many Seniors in the class including one, Inez[Mulholland] and if we are seated alphabetically, I shall have the extreme pleasure of sitting next to the dear creature! But in every class there are people I like, so I am more than contented in spite of the poor instructors I’ve drawn. But Narrations is my pet class, and I am just looking forward to everything I shall get from it.
Aside from starting [unreadable], there is little news. Christian’s Reception comes Saturday, and I expect to go although I do not expect to take a Freshman. I have seen some of my proteges, and also some of the other people I was told to look up. The new table - all but two- are so nice, and we are so fond of the two new ones from Davison that we just go around grinning at each other. Tonight people have been flying in and out in the good old way, some for lessons, some for books, and some for just plain sociability. It is so nice. I meandered over to Miss T.’s for tea today, but she wasn’t home; I have a hunch she is off [unreadable] somewhere, for she wasn’t in chapel. It is late, and I must stop. If there is nothing very exciting, I think I’ll ask Bob for a week from this Saturday.
Lovingly Marjorie
