Dear Family -

Typed transcription of page 1 of letter …………………………….

This must be a short letter for the half-past nine bell has rung and I want to be in bed by ten.
This is an uneventful week anyway. Last night was Sophomore party, so we Juniors, acting on Logan’s suggestion, were [dearies] and turned down beds!
The Seniors went to Mohonk, and, poor things, got rained on, but they didn’t seem to mind in the least. Next week is going to be Junior Party

and we began rehearsals for this coming week. On Friday the Granddaughters are going to have a Hallowe’en supper party - aren’t they getting gay.
The weather has been nasty and cold and gray all week - it might as well be January. I wish I had some news, but I haven’t done anything this week but work, because I have a Philosophy topic due soon. I am sleepy and [unreadable] so I might as well repair to my [unreadable], and hope for better luck for you next time. I enjoyed everybody’s letters much. Those [Holden’s] are plain bold. I think they needn’t have been so afraid we’d

pester them with Sunday weekend [invitations]!

Lots of love
Sleepily
Marjorie
