Dear Family --

What do you think our “Little One” did on Wednesday. Went downtown and heard Mrs. Philip Snowden, the suffragist leader, talk! And what’s more, I ain’t converted yet!! And she’d never do it. But I had the chance to go, so I thought I might as well take it. Friday night we spent in Caroline’s room. Some sewed, others lounged while I read some of the “Golden Age” aloud. We laughed till we cried altho’ [although] we’d all read the stories before. Saturday evening we had another party of somewhat the same variety in Ruth Bigelow’s room and it was awfully nice. We all sewed and Margaret tried to read “Santa Claus’ Partner” aloud, but we finally were so bored by it we made her stop!
Next week comes Second Hall Play and Xmas [Christmas] music which will be lovely, I think. A week from Friday - three cheers. Thanks for the goods - it came this morning safely. Tell Jean I love the pictures and so does everybody else. Also, I have some white silk stockings, but must have left them at home, ‘cause [because] I haven’t [seen] them here. Also, I am thinking of taking my pink dance slippers downtown and getting them painted white, if possible, or maybe black. They are perfect for dancing.
I must stop now and go to bed like a good girl. Be good till I get home to discipline you.
Lovingly
Marjorie
