The check came safely, and the [most] of it is reposing safely in the Treasurer’s hands. Thank you for sending it, and also for our very nice letter.
It has been fine and snappy here, and we have all been rejoicing. Last night -- or I guess it was two nights ago, who should accost me in the Library but Melanie Atherton, who has been visiting a girl here at Vassar. She came up to the room for a few moments later, and it was so nice to see here. I think she goes today. Tonight I am to go over to Frances Cutler’s room to see Louise Hamline, one of the Bangor girls I know, and I am awfully anxious to see her again.


Bob can’t come tomorrow, but he wrote me an awfully clever note, and I’ll ask him again some time. Tomorrow night we have our first Student’s Meeting this year, and that is always interesting.
I think my news is about exhausted, but by Sunday I’ll hope to have some more!
Write me again, dear Dad, and don’t worry about me. I am fine and not working too hard.
