Dearest Mamie
I got dad’s money all right. The party ticket scheme is broken up on account of there nor being a large enough number of girls going home this year. Therefore Cerene and I are going to start home on Thursday. Each of us will miss just one recitation by starting a day early and if Mrs J doesn’t like it she
can lump it -- I hope you won’t be sorry to behold my learning countenance at 11.50 Friday morning, a week from to day! The thought of coming home fills my heart with a joy -- whoopee! that I can’t begin to express.
How nice of Mrs Bennett and Mrs Williams to ask me to receive at their teas -- and Miss Atkins was a peach to ask me to her musical.
Well, what I haven’t got to do isn’t working mentioning so farewell, Slews of love
