Dear Susan
You need expect nothing from me for some time I have no vitality of body or soul. All I had or was has gone with the development of that boy. It is now four weeks since my confinement & I can scarcely walk across the room. You have no idea how weak I am & I have to keep my mind in the most quiet state in order to sleep. I have suffered so much from wakefulness. I am always glad to hear from you and hope to see you on your way to N.Y. When you write to Antionette give my love to her. If she starts in her meetings we will take Cousin G’s twenty dollars, every little helps. In haste
