Dear Cousin Ann,
We were delighted to get your letter a day or two ago. I think it is very strange I do not hear from Aunt Helen. I wrote quite a while ago sending her my picture and she has not acknowledged it. Our vacation is most over, we begin to study again Thursday. We have had a very quiet but very pleasant rest. We have read "Our Mutual Friend" out loud, and we liked it very much.
Yesterday morning I went over the steward's department and since then
