I’ve just come back from a talk by Louise Holmquist on her work among the Factory Girls. She was awfully good, and so funny and entertaining too. Last night Mary Campbell had a tea for her in her room, and asked me. I went with joy, and as I was perfectly sure she hadn’t an idea who I was as I departed I mentioned casual like that Jean would be so glad to know I’d seen her. She looked polite and puzzled so I hastened to add that I was Jean MacCoy’s sister. The

magic word changed everything; she shook hands all over again, she and Miss [Babson] got into the perennially interesting discussion of how much I looked like Jean, and Louise Holmquist sent her love to Jean. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have sisters thrust upon them!
Last night we had a Students’ Meeting that was awfully interesting, although about every other subject was referred to the Joint Committee!

gave a recital of German songs. His voice is a good bass - not extraordinary - but his interpretation is marvelous; he makes you understand just by the quality of the [tone] what the meaning of the word is. The “Erlkonig” and “Die Beiden Grenadiere” were the best. He ended his program with the last, and I can’t tell you how many times he was called back - ten at least. If you have a chance to hear him, don’t miss it.

the board, but the same company is planning another Kennedy play, so [Aunt] [unreadable] wants me just the same, and maybe she will ask Stanley and Cyrus to come too, so we can have a Camp Reunion. Won’t that be fun? Val wanted me to stay over Sunday, but I said nay! Nay! I want to get home!
Val and I went to Christ Church to service today, and it was nice, the music was good, and the church is a beautiful one.
