Dear Mother, Father, and Pete:
One of the unfortunate parts of writing a long letter is the consequent dearth of subject-matter the next day.
I loafed all day yesterday--as a reaction to the exam rush. Took a long walk in the afternoon, read the paper, went to dark-music after supper, and loafed the rest of the evening. I started to read "Heredity and Environment"--the supplement to your Bible, Pete-- and got so interested that I read later than I should have. It might be just as well to let that go until after the exam, though. I found that it was messing up the limited knowledge that I had acquired in the course of our lectures.
I am going to town this afternoon to attend to some things that can't be put off any longer, among others a shampoo and having a button put on my fur coat which came off the other day. I cut off about five inches of my hair last night. Perhaps it will be more manageable now.
