Dear Mother, Father, and Pete:

I got a lot of work done last night, and also had a debate meeting which lasted over an hour. I have debate practice tonight from seven-thirty to nine~thirty.

Miss Ellery has suggested an idea that seems to be a pretty good one -- to draw lots as to which side the classes have the night of the debate and then give them five minutes before starting to debate, after the drawing of lots. It will be a test of skill, to say the least, but terribly hard.

I pledged two hundred dollars to the endowment fund. Tehes pledges represent what the girl thinks she will be able to earn, more than what she can get from others. That is to be done independently of these pledges. The average so far is a little over fifty dollars per person. Under the circumstances I thought you could make up the difference, or I could in a later pledge of another kind. ^[I don't expect to earn $700, personally!]

I sent the contribution to the [crossed out: endowmen] H. U. C. fund.

It would be great to have Helen Milius at the game, Pete’ I hope you have been eole to arrange it.

I had everything planned and myself all decided to go out to Wasserman‘s with Margaret Friday night, and was patiently waiting for the invitation This Morning I got this night letter:

MY CRAZY BROTHER HAS SPOILED EVERYTHING SO THAT I CANT GET DOWN TO PRINCETON, BUT SINCE I HONESTLY WANT TO KNOW YOU WONT YOU COME UP HERE OVER THANKSGIVING. LETTER FOLLOWS.
MARGARET WASSERMAN.

What in the world does she mean? What has gone wrong? I am anxious to get the letter. The only thing I could think of was that he failed to get tickets for her and her mother. Fine bunch! I should not be at all averse to spending Thanksgiving vacation in your neighborhood, provided you, dfather and Mother, don't come East. I was sort of half planning to stay here part of the time and work on my semester topic in Psych and then going down to Aunt Bessie's, but I was not particularly thrilled at the idea. Have they vacation Friday, too?

I am waiting with curiosity and patience for the letter.

In great haste,
Hashimura Togo.

Is Dave going to the Harvard game?
