Dear Carrie,
Again I have let several days slip away without writing home, and
I will now take these few moments of leisure; and scribble off a few lines
to send by the evening mail - This week has bean a rather busy one, as
in fact are all the weeks with us. The old story that Seniors have nothing
to do, is not true in our case.

Bird Bell's sister from town is in the room now, and jabbering as fast as any child of thirteen can, so you may be sure I have no idea of what I am writing, or what to write - There are hundreds of things I want to ask about and tell you, but I can't think of them, so please excuse this
